"Writing Case In Rosewood, Marquetry With Pearly Birds And Burr Walnut, XIXth Time"
Curious writing desk from the Restoration period. Rosewood veneered on oak and marquetry. Lovely inlaid decor with mother-of-pearl birds in the middle of burl walnut trees. Burl walnut rim too. It opens onto a flap covered with velvet and storage space. The velvet is as it is, there is a hole and the tab is missing to lift it in order to access the storage part below. The lock works. Period XIX th century.
