Elegant small Louis XVI style desk after a model by Jean-Henri Riesener in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer, with rosewood frames and light wood fillets in the belt. Beautiful fawn leather tray decorated with embossed gilding with a frieze and a central motif.
Magnificent ornamentation of very finely chiseled gilded bronze such as ingot mold, floral garlands, sphinxes and masks in the belt, asparagus and hooves at the level of its four rudent grooved feet.

Parisian work from the second half of the 19th century, of exceptional quality, attributed to François LINKE, we find this desk model, available as a center table with marble top or marquetry, with the same bronze ornamentation (same castings, same quality) in the production of François LINKE.

Perfect condition: returned to its original condition by our workshop: cleaning of the bronzes (original gilding), application of a natural varnish with a pad (french polish) using the traditional methods (supports previously cleaned and sanded for the application of the new varnish and remove all traces of use or any other imperfection). Leather top also original with some traces of use.
