"Maurice Dufrene Dining Room From 1911 Art Nouveau"
Dining room in solid mahogany, mahogany veneer, violet wood and black wood and light wood fillets. It consists of a pair of large half-moon sideboards with marble tops; they open with four doors, two of which are curved topped with drawers, a very large oval table with the possibility of several extensions, six chairs and two armchairs. Our dining room is probably the one reproduced in “the Paris Salons 1895-1914” volume III: Furniture by Alastair Duncan editor “Antique Collector's Club” which dates from 1911 and specifies its presence at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1911
