"Kelvin Bottomley Marine Compass"
Superb and rare Marine compass interior in solid wood and brass, with its original mounting base. A true work of art, this wooden interior, originally located on the deck of a ship, in front of the helmsman's station, contains the magnetic navigation compass, under a copper cover fitted with mirrors and a magnifying glass with oil lamps as a lighting system. The nautical compass plays a vital role in navigation, for this it is very important to protect it from weather conditions. The passenger compartment serves this purpose. The two lateral iron spheres have the function of avoiding magnetic disturbances. They are painted red and green to represent the colors of the vessel's port and starboard light.
