Object description :

"Collection Of 7 French May 1968 Strikes' Argentic (b&w) Original Photos"
Collection 7 rares and historical balck and white argentic original photos from the famous journalist Georges AZENSTARCK (Paris, 1934 - Marseille, 2020), relating to the of french protests and strikes in May 1968.

Some of the photos have the photographer's stamp on the back.
Large sizes - the cutouts were used by the photographer to fine-tune photos' framing, which explains well the varied sizes of the final photos;

1. 41.5-40.8cm on sight (photo total 51.5-40.5cm); certainly one of his most famous shot about the may 1968 protests
2. 40.5-30.5cm (total photo 40.5-30.5cm)
3. 41.5-40.8cm (total photo 51-40.5cm)
4. 31-24cm (total photo 40-30.5cm)
5. 34-30.5cm (total photo 40.5-30.5cm)
6. 47-31.5cm (photo total 50-40cm); Henri Krazucki, one of the historical leaders of the CGT, a french powerfull worker's Union
7. 41.5.-41.5cm (photo total 51-41.5cm)

The artist will never cease to defend his social ideals and socialist and communist models through his photographic work. His series of photos on children from all country over the world show with great poetry both the simplicity of their games and their smiles, but also the very precarious conditions of their environment and country.

Some bear the photographer's stamp on the back.

More than topical despite their age of more than 50 years ... The eras pass but not the current topics
