"Nevers Earthenware Dish, XVIIth Century."
This beautiful deep dish is made of Nevers earthenware, oval in shape and rests on a heel. The rim is serrated and it is adorned on the wing with gadroons in the manner of Savona. In its center under a Greek cross, drawn in blue on the white background, is the inscription ISH for Jesus. It is an offering dish also called a quest dish.
