Very nice chiseled English work, with a good weight of silver, making an object of good density and great solidity.
Oval in shape, entirely worked and openwork, with a pattern of flowers, leaves and ears of wheat in an Art Nouveau spirit.
The base is also fully openwork. Note that a restoration has surely been made on it (see photo), but that no weaknesses are to be noted.
The silver handle swivels completely from right to left. There is a lack, however discreet, on a tip of one of the ears of wheat (see photo).
The shortage is in our possession and we will not fail to return it to the buyer.
English work, produced in London in 1769, by The Goldsmith Robert Makepeace.
