About ... Lurçat Jean (1892-1966)
The master of contemporary tapestry turned to ceramics at the beginning of the 1950s. He regularly stays at the Sant-Vicens pottery workshop, created by Firmin Bauby in Perpignan. He decorates dishes, vases, pitchers and other everyday objects. His work as a ceramist is also marked by monumental creations, such as the one that dresses the radio house in Strasbourg.
