A large crystal chandelier lights up this intimate scene, titled on the back "the King's Supper" and signed "Rosalbin". Exhibition label XIXth century Marie-Abraham Rosalbin de Buncey (March 26, 1833 in Châtillon-sur-Marne - January 19, 1891 in Paris 16) draftsman and painter of history, allegorical subjects, genre scenes and urban landscapes. His works are present in several museums, and appear in public auction rooms from 1919 to 2002. Rosalbin is a pupil of Léon Cogniet at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1879; works in museums in Chambéry, Montpellier, Pontoise and Reims.
