In the district of the island, the mirror with birds constitutes an enchanting urban setting. This splendid body of water decorated with a flotilla of pointed with Latin sails and bordered by old fishermen's houses with painted facades, classified since 1942, this place has fascinated many painters like Delacroix, Coron, Loubon, Ziem or Dufy.
This painting represents the atmosphere of this port with fishermen on their boats and men on the quay.We can distinguish through this painting all the depth and all the limunosity of this picturesque place. The light is bright between sky and water it comes in an infinite variety of colors. A place with a very bucolic aspect that leaves us dreaming.
