"Eighteenth Pieta Basswood"
Superb and rare pieta of XVIIIth basswood size. In very good original condition, the Pietà is sitting virgin holding Jesus in her arms at the feet of Jesus is Mary madeleine washing his feet. Superb quality of sculpture, facial expressions are of high quality and patina original honey color. The work of this group is also remarkable for its proportions and draped extraordinary.
