"Art Nouveau Mirror Ice - XXth."
Large beveled Art Nouveau style mirror in a solid mahogany frame with a pretty cornucopia and floral decor. This element is part of a set of dining room furnishings whose decor, sobriety and quality of execution recall the school of NANCY and more particularly the work of cabinetmaker Camille Gauthier. Good condition (some lack of silver on the mirror) - 20th century. Camille Gauthier (1870-1963) attended the Nancy municipal school of fine arts, then the Paris school of decorative arts. From 1896 to 1900 he worked in a Majorelle workshop in Nancy then joined forces with upholsterer Paul POINSIGNON for the manufacture and sale of furniture and works of art.
