The character is represented here dressed in a draped outfit and hands joined, adorned with care with a large pectoral necklace, a hairstyle embellished with an ornamental band and also with earrings. This presence of the jewel, including for male characters, undoubtedly refers to a repertoire of Indian inspiration.
Note, repair to the neck and shoulder joints.
It is not uncommon to see figures of praying (or worshiping) at the end of the Gandharian period, that is, in the III – IV centuries of our era, which just like donors are often represented in the art of Gandhara.
These profane characters, represented in prayer, highlight the practice of Buddhist worship.
