Rare smoking kit in gilded bronze from the Art Nouveau period, made around 1900. Superb naturalistic decor representing a beetle on the small pot / ashtray and a pretty moth with outstretched wings on the large covered pot. These insects evolve among branches and leaves of ivy, all against a background representing a wooden fence. The details are truly startlingly realistic. Our set consists of a large covered pot, a small ashtray pot and a match stand. All resting on a large platter. This kit is of remarkable quality, the bronze is extremely thick.
