"Modernist Ceramic Dish Signed Jacqueline Monfort"
White ceramic dish decorated in black, turquoise and blue, to be classified in the current of lyrical abstraction. Unique piece made in the art workshops of Jacqueline Monfort, Le Castellet (Var). 32x32.5 cm. The European lyrical abstraction thus baptized by the critic Jean José Marchand and the painter Georges Mathieu in 1947, whose initial and main current, tachism, was defined from 1951 by the critics Pierre Guéguen, Charles Estienne and Michel Tapié, which will include these two notions in informal art in 1952.
