Monogrammed silver handle (J D?) containing on one side the Minerve hallmark and on the other the hallmark of the master silversmith of Eugène Queillé.
The steel blades are marked "Paris".
Eugène Queillé, silversmith, settled at 8 Petite rue Saint-Roch-Poissonnière, registered his mark on February 11, 1847 (ref. N° 01562 from the Archives de la Garantie, Paris). In 1874 the Queillés were installed at 11 rue des Petits-Carreaux in a goldsmith’s district where they continued their activity until 1895, when the workshop was taken over by Antoine Lapparra.
