Ernest Lessieux is a French painter, watercolourist and designer. He was born in La Rochelle and loved to immortalize the landscapes of the Ile d'Oléron and the surroundings of Menton. His son, Louis Lessieux will take the same path. These two drawings, being parallel, are of a remarkable quality of execution and an impressive realism. Their large sizes and the charcoal technique make them atypical, sober but very decorative works.
