"Interesting Watercolor Early Twentieth Century"
Interesting watercolor, testimony of the history of Italian Unity. Besides the artist's tools and two statettes in watercolor appear two portraits: one, on the right, is the hero of the Risorgimento Giuseppe Garibaldi, the other a bearded man, most probably the artist's father, perhaps Nazzareno Cristofani, faithful volunteer of Garibaldi who died on the battlefield. At the bottom right a cartouche bears an inscription and a date: "E. Cristofani fece. 1918"
