HST by Gilles Pichon (1933 - 2007) Self-taught painter, unconditional lover of the Normandy coast, very steeped in Albert Marquet, Camille Corot, André Derain and Alfred Sisley. Member of the Salon des Artistes Indépendants in Paris. Our painting, with the framing, the suggestive treatment of the characters, the horizontals and the layering of colors very inspired by the work of Albert Marquet, represents the cliffs at Mesnil Val in Normandy. Dated 1990 Signed lower left.
