"Enamelled Ceramic Vase Bacs Barol Cannes Golfe-juan With Maritime Landscape Decor Art Nouve"
Ceramic vase decorated with maritime landscapes in reserves. Art Nouveau period around 1900. Rare with its unusual decor of maritime landscapes in reserves, very different from the Mediterranean landscapes with metallic enamels to which the Workshop had accustomed us. On either side, the reserves surrounded by gold meet by a band decorated with seaweed and gold scallops. You will appreciate the original character of this piece, the beauty of the colors, the delicacy of its decoration painted as if it were a painting, its white cover in very slight bluish gradient going towards the collar. Double "BACS Cannes-Eden Golfe-Juan AM" mark in handwritten gold under the base + the letters BACS incised near the heel. Height: 13 cm Atelier BACS was founded by Jean Barol (1873-1966) in 1912 at Manoir Eden Roc in Golfe Juan, after having left the Manufacture Clément Massier. These partners, Marius Alexandre, who was a decorator at Clément Massier (1880-1959), Jean Carle and François Sicard (1850-1942) hence the acronym BACS. Very good state. A tiny lack at the edge of the heel under the logo BACS. Height: 13 cm Many other objects to discover in my stand at the Trade Shows in which I participate.
