Stanislas LAMI "Young Dormant Girl" plaster bust circa 1880 Good used condition, no breakages or gaps Size 39 x 30 x 23 cm Signed on the bottom "St. LAMI" (same signature as on Berlioz's death mask ) Stalislas Lami (Paris 1858-1944) Having chosen sculpture like his father, he made his debut at the Salon of French artists in 1882 and exhibited there regularly until 1942. Sculptor qualified as elegant, sober and delicate, at the modern and charming taste, He also participated in the Salon des Indépendants in 1884, in the Volney circle, in the first exhibition of the esoteric group (1900, 9 bis, rue de Londres) and took part in numerous exhibitions abroad, notably in Munich in 1892, Chicago in 1893, and Brussels in 1897.
