Joseph François Victor Chemin born in Paris on August 2, 1823 and died in Neuilly-sur-Seine on July 24, 1901. Victor Chemin was a French sculptor who was a pupil of Antoine-Louis Barye.
He began his career at the Salon in 1851, he exhibited his works there, mainly animal sculptures, until 1894.
He received the 3 rd class medal, sculpture section, at the Salon of 1882.
