Louis XVII Terracotta
Bust on pedestal in patinated terracotta, representing Louis XVII, Dauphin of France. Period: 1st third of the 19th century. Signed on the back "PB". Restoration on the pedestal. Louis-Charles of France, known as Louis XVII, was born in Versailles on March 27, 1785 and died in Paris on June 8, 1795. He is the second son of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette. Dauphin of France from 1789, then prince royal from 1791 to 1792.
