Spoon of the Jurande d'Arles depending on the Generality of Aix-en-Provence whose pieces are particularly rare. It is, to date, the only listed sugar spoon of this Esward. The work of the goldsmith is particularly neat. Guillaume Brunet did his apprenticeship in Arles with his grandfather Guillaume Igonnet in 1734, to continue from 1740 to 1742 with the silversmith Jacques Paulmyer. Companion, he worked with his uncle Sébastien Igonnet in Paris, then in Beaune with Louis Reynier. He became master in 1751 with the realization of his masterpiece, a basting spoon. He deposited his small silversmith's mark in Aix in 1758, then in 1761, he punched for Geneviève Nantet, widow of his former master, we lose his trace thereafter. Among the few works of Arles listed, we know a few pieces by this master, two beakers including one engraved [2, n ° 62], a sugar pot from 1765 [2, n ° 63] a chocolate pot from 1766 [2, n ° 64] and a stewing spoon [2, n ° 65].
