"A Beautiful French Claret Jug In Rococo Style Made For The Russian Market"
A beautiful French claret jug in Rococo style made for the Russian market. 950 silver standard, gilding, patina, glass. The jug is marked with the following hallmarks:1) French minerva 1st titre for the 950 silver fineness.
2) Russian 91 zolotnik import mark which indicates that the jug was imported to Russia between 1898 and 1908.
3) 1st Latvian Republic hallmark for the 875 and above silver fineness.
4) French maker's mark on the bottom which is unfortunately unreadable.
Height: 26 cm.
The jug is in good overall condition, covered with old patina, the glass has chips nor cracks.
