"Trendy Panther By Hug Engelhard"
Panther branched under glass on a silver background in its original frame, signed, lower right, Hug Engelhard (20th century). Airbrush technique. Period 1935/1940 Label of the framer on the back Dimensions at sight: 48 x 63 cm Dimensions with frame: 70 x 85.5 cm Airbrushing is a pictorial technique using compressed air to train then spray an aerosol spray of ink or paint droplets onto the sheet of paper or the chosen medium. This technique which was the most used in the years 1920/30, in particular by poster artists is very delicate because of the difficulty of handling the airbrush (miniature gun) but also of its sensitivity to clogging, but when it is controlled, it allows very fine control of the painting and gives the most subtle nuances and gradients.
