"Bronze XXth Portrait Of Beethoven By Arno Breker"
Superb 20th century bronze representing BEETHOVEN and made by Arno BREKER (1900-1991). Famous German sculptor who was best known for his public works made in Germany under the 3rd Riech where they were promoted by the authorities as the antithesis of degenerate art. This sculpture of Beethoven's head is presented on a cube-shaped Belgian granite base, the expression of the face is very expressive and the patina superb. The bronze is signed on the collar and bears the edition number 4/8. Quality piece in perfect condition.
