"Oil On Canvas By Eugénie Moujon Gauvin, XIXth, Charentes Barbizon Impressionism Vincennes"
This work by Eugénie Moujon Gauvin (1850-1910) presents a countryside view, with buildings emerging from the vegetation. Difficult to locate, the artist would have represented landscape scenes in the Paris region (Vincennes in particular) as well as in Charentes. The work presents a thick and matte touch that characterizes the work towards a deconditioning of classical landscape painting. It is a fine example of the second lines of painting which militate with the first for the pictorial personalization of the landscape and the impressions that emerge from it. In its original frame (width approximately 10 cm).
