"Terracotta Sculpture Hand By Jean Marais (1913-1998) French Artist"
Important terracotta sculpture representing a forearm and a hand carrying two candlesticks by Jean Marais. The base is made of wood and the terracotta is signed by the artist on the front of the forearm. Work that can be viewed from all sides. Very graphic and reminiscent of the universe of his companion Jean Cocteau. Very good general condition. Some traces of the wax from the green candles that must have been on it. See photos. This sculpture is sold with 2 Baccarat cups. (Height 37 with cup)
