"Primavera Longwy Polychrome Ceramic Art Deco Vase 1922"
This superb and rare Art Deco vase is the result of an exemplary collaboration between Primavera and the Longwy manufacture in 1922. Very similar to a painting, this splendid rotating decoration of four languid bathers in a dreamlike vegetation is made of cloisonné enamels with shimmering and very vivid colors. This decoration is in perfect harmony with the pear-shaped shape of this large vase and the stylization of the nudes as of the vegetation, is remarkable, as is the quality of manufacture. It is reproduced in many works, in particular page 436, illustration 715 in the book "Primavera 1912 - 1972 Atelier d'Art du Printemps" by Alain-René Hardy as well as page 74, illustration 41 in the book "La Céramique Art Déco" by Edgar Pelichet. Height: 30 cm Diameter: 24 cm Very good condition.
