"Majolica - Faïencerie De Toul-bellevue - Rare Slush Of A Heron With The Frog On Its Column - 1895/1900"
Exceptional Ceramic slip of high dimensions, of a heron getting ready to eat a frog. Modeled in the manner of naturalists, the heron is perched on a rock in the middle of a pond, covered with water lily leaves, a flower girl made of rushes at the back. This very important composition rests on its openwork triangular plinth with scrollwork and interlacing patterns. The whole is signed: marked with the crest of the earthenware and the artist's initials.
