"Georges Coudray: Bakie, Art Nouveau Polychrome Terracotta Bust"
Beautiful polychrome terracotta bust, representing an Egyptian, titled BAKIE on its base. Signed by Georges Coudray, published by "A et Cie Paris" and numbered No 102-531. The earrings in the shape of Egyptian masks are in bronze, as well as the flower-shaped buckle on the shoulder and the brooch in the center of the headband (also with Egyptian attributes). The needles that hold the bun are made of wood. Art Nouveau period, early 20th century. Good condition: to report a small lack at the corner of the base, not serious, because weathered, see photo, and small wear in the neck caused by the balant of the bronze earrings. Beautiful expression of the face, beautiful patina because of the original polychrome. Dimension of the base of the plinth: 15 x 15 cm.
