Beautiful and very large watercolor enhanced with gouache representing a stagecoach harnessed to six horses coming out of a castle porch.
The postilion on the leading horse looks at a young servant seated on a parapet.
Very good quality of execution, in perfect condition in its original frame in molded and gilded cardboard.
It is signed lower left and dated 1930 or 1935.
Alphonse La Lauze 1872 - 1936. French. History painter, gouache painter, watercolorist. He was a student of Edouard Detaille.
