"Copper Watering Can. Height 40 Cm. 18th Century."
Baluster body, formed of two nested halves, forged and assembled by serrated brass brazing. It rests on a narrow plinth, lined halfway up with an iron strapping. This is probably an old restoration to compensate for the wear of time. Complete with its handle, its barrel, its spacer and its apple, all original. Watering cans from this period are found only exceptionally in perfect condition. Most of them have come down to us incomplete, crudely clogged and patched up. We willingly abandon them to neophytes, lovers of wrecks, because seniority is not enough in our eyes to excuse their crippling state. Height: 40 cm. Diameter: 25 cm. 18th century. Very good condition. See additional information on: http://antiquites-lauginie.fr/arrosoir/ Free shipping by COLISSIMO for mainland France.
