Extremely rare French dagger from the wars of religion This is an extremely rare copy of a dagger dated 1560-1580 in the midst of the religious wars between Catholics and Protestants. The dagger is made of steel. It measures 31 cm in length. Pommel pierced to probably be attached. Smooth handle, French type cruise and long blade. This dagger comes from Dordogne (from an old collection of historical bladed weapons). The dagger was appraised by Laurence Fligny, an expert near the Paris Court of Appeal and a specialist in the high period.
