Superb copper work, Alpine Italy or Austrian Empire, 18th century, a small basin 22 cm in diameter, tool built all one piece, bottom engraved with a rosette, swollen body with shoulder, and large flared border ending in an iron hem are entirely worked with engraving and chasing tools, in an abundant decoration, and sought after: in 4 medallions: four stylized flowers, (each one is different), the foliage is superb, with a sharp line, on amati background. Goldsmith's work on copper ....
Condition of find, wear, tiny tool holes, (photos), the previous owner had a zinc lining made at the waist.
