Paul Georges Morizot was in charge of winding, styling and polishing the bows, and Paul Charles Morizot, known as "the chef", ran the business and made frogs in the time that remained. After World War II the Morizot family enjoyed ten years of high productivity, during which they achieved their greatest commercial success, and one can only guess why they did not succeed in the generational change. Was the well-balanced family production too rigid to make room for grandchildren or talented apprentices. Did the strict orientation towards the traditional arch model play a role? While the French archery looked for new avenues in the 1960s, the star of the Morizot brothers collapsed, starting with the death of his father on August 15, 1957, followed by that of Paul Georges on July 23, 1959. Marcel Louis died on February 16, 1969, followed exactly one year later by Paul Charles. After the workshop closed in 1970, Louis Gabriel withdrew from Vittel and lived there until 2.6.1988. André Auguste Morizot settled down with the youngest of the brothers, René Morizot (1917-2001), who was the only luthier to become a bow maker, and worked as the last bow maker of the Morizot family until his death on 6.2. 1978.
