" Glass Chandelier - Daum / Lorrain"
Glass chandelier composed of two elements, connected by a metal rod. Manufactured between 1928 and 1934 Electrical connections are in working order. The manufacture "Verrerie Belle Etoile" was created on December 15, 1925 by Antonin Daum in order to sell at competitive prices, items different from those produced by the Nancy factory. To better mark the diversity, this production was not carried out in Nancy, but in Croismare (near Luneville), of which Paul is the director. From 1927, it became mechanized to produce pieces in pressed and molded-pressed blown glass, signed “Lorrain”. Between 1928 and 1934, Pierre d'Avesn produced innovative models in this manufacture signed “Lorrain” and “Lorrain / P. D'Avesn ”. Pierre Bergé also participates in the production of Verrerie Belle Etoile with often molded decorations: vases, coupes, ashtrays, bottles, lighting fixtures, sometimes with wrought iron frames without matching the quality of Daum Nancy productions which are designed in collaboration with Majorelle. The economic crisis of the 1930s affected Verrerie Belle-Etoile. It closes definitively on December 16, 1934.
