"Crystal Flask With Enameled Gold Mounts. Late 19th Century Work."
Exceptional conical flask made of faceted crystal. The flask is set in an openwork mount made of gold and royal blue enamel and intricately sculpted with scrollwork motifs. A large monogram letter A is at the center of the mounting. The monogram is overlaid with translucent, royal blue enamel that leaves the fine parallel lines in the gold underneath visible. A crown rests above the monogram. The neck and the hinged lid are embellished with an interlacing motif, flowers, rinceau, and enamel overlay. A pearl tops the lid, which opens to reveal a small crystal stopper inserted in a grained-gold mounting.
