Painting, oil on cardboard, measuring 23 x 22 cm without frame and 34 x 33 cm with a beautiful contemporary frame, representing two angels represented in intimate moments of meditation.

The painting we are examining is a shining example of the Emilian painting of the seventeenth century, The painting in question is an important document of the Emilian painting of the time because it exhibits a luminist impetus of brilliant skill, achieving a peculiarity of fashions that marks a significant phase in the development of the genre, also due to a breadth of impasto and an insight of definition which are all typical prerogatives of great Italian painting.
