Napoleon III box in geometric marquetry and curling for the slightly domed top and perpendicular wood for the outline, all garnished with bronzes. The shape is a rectangle with rounded corners and a top with a 30 degree slope and a recess for the edge.
Bronze moldings highlight the edges at the top and bottom of the box with lion claws topped with palmettes as feet.
The interior has been completely redone in pink moire.
