Very pretty Regency style high back chair, in carved walnut, late 19th century. Magnificent base ending in clog feet connected by a sculpted and nicely eventful x-shaped spacer. The crosspieces and the front legs of the seat are finely carved with stylized foliage. The covering fabric of our seat has been specially and fully embroidered with small dots, it represents wrapped flower wreaths surrounding bouquets of roses accompanied by poppies, daffodils, violets and other wildflowers. This elegant chair is in good house condition, the fabric has a few rare traces (not very visible, in the beige background).
