"Embroidery, Animated Landscape, 19th."
Representation of an archaic-shaped watermill (17th century) on a body of water. The scene is animated in the foreground by two characters who haul a boat and two other characters who seem to land. The embroidery on silk is treated in chenille and launched stitch, the sky and the lake are painted with gouache. Very nice state of freshness. Original pitch pine frame. epoque 19th.
