Edith Strauch (1920-2008).
German expressionist painter and designer. She was born in Krefeld (Germany) in 1920 and died in Bad Munstereifel in 2008. She studied at the academy of her hometown then at the Beaux-Arts in Düsseldorf. She specialized in Vienna, Paris and Italy. She began to exhibit around 20, in Germany (Krefeld, Düsseldorf, Berlin), then abroad, notably in Milan and London. She is known for her still lifes, her urban views taken during long journeys through southern Europe (Italy, Greece) and her portraits.
