"Art Nouveau Earthenware Planter émile Galle"
Beautiful and rare fine earthenware planter attributed to the workshops of Émile Gallé (1846-1904). Rococo style, the shape of a basket was created around 1880 by the artist. All edges are rubbed with gold. Superb polychrome decorations of small fire. On one side, a snowy landscape surrounded by flowers and on the other, a lively landscape of a castle on the edge of a lake with sailboats. The decorations are signed with the monograms EM and MM Not found the signature of Émile Gallé but the model is similar to lot 102 reproduced in the book published by the Musée d'Orsay on the occasion of the exhibition 'Un ensemble Art Nouveau .
