Rare walnut box carved with volutes, frieze of foliage, hearts, ace of spades, couple of birds, knights, fleur-de-lis, in the center of a tray: a cartouche incorporating the initials BR. All sides are carved with different patterns. Body assembly with visible dovetail. 2 rear hinges. Old lock but not original, out of condition. In view of the decor, this box can be offered on the occasion of a wedding or a commemoration. XVIIIth period.
