Marcel Bouraine (1886-1948)
Born in Pontoise in 1886. Died in 1948 After an early career impregnated by academic rules, he revealed himself in 1925 as one of the most representative sculptors of Art Deco.
Bouraine is a member of the Society of French Artists and participates in the Salon d'Automne.
In 1928 he collaborated with Gabriel Argy-Rousseau who commissioned several sculptures from him, as well as sometimes with his friend Pierre Le Faguays.
He also exhibited two monumental sculptures at the Universal Exhibition of 1937 in Paris. One of his favorite subjects is the woman, often represented naked
