He exhibited in 1909 at the Salon des Indépendants, alongside Monet, Pissaro and Sisley.
Attracted by North Africa, he will stay in Algeria in 1920 where he will bring back landscapes which will appear at the Colonial Exhibition of Marseille in 1922 then in the 1930s, he will go to Morocco which will inspire him many works, both landscapes and genre scenes which will be presented at the Colonial Exhibition in Naples in 1934. He will also participate in the Artistic exhibitions of French Africa and the Salon d'Automne.
In addition to these landscapes and scenes from North Africa, he left a large number of landscapes on the banks of the Marne.
