Lovely gallant scene in gouache in a bucolic setting in the style of the 18th century. It is animated by a couple near a musician, a typical scene of the amorous repertoire. Signed lower right. End of the 19th century - beginning of the 20th century A label on the back with an inscription "pastoral after Watteau". Under glass and in a dark wood frame, with chiseled patinated brass strapping. It is ready to be installed in your interior since its original hanging system is still present. Diameter of the miniature at sight: 5.4 cm Frame size: 11.7 cm x 12 cm Good condition. Scratches of use to the frame and age spots on the back cardboard.
