A very nice inkwell model with relatively large dimensions.
Circular in shape, the base encircled with a lip as well as the upper edge, it is flanked by two beautiful wall-mounted cups forming false spouts.
The interest which characterizes this object is this sumptuous numbered coat of arms underlined by a painted decoration of flowery palms which follows its shape, coat of arms surmounted by the motto "to friendship".
It is provided with two oblong vertical cases forming a pen holder and with a handle which has an orifice above, an orifice which communicates via the upper attachment with the interior of the main receptacle.
The removable central cup has a hole in the bottom to allow the ink to rise; it is covered with a small cover surmounted by a spherical fretel. You will have noticed that this inkwell is generously enhanced with gold threads and that cups and support cases are underlined with falling pearl drops also golden.
** GOOD CONDITION **
(You will nevertheless notice a small chip on the edge of the small cover, another on the reverse and wear of the gilding at the spherical grip of the cover; otherwise very good condition overall).
